Master's and Bachelor's Degree Reimbursement

Beginning school year 2013-14, Dexter Consolidated Schools created a district wide program to assist with tuition and fees reimbursement for Dexter school employees planning to obtain a Master’s Degree in education.  For school year 2016-17, Dexter Consolidated Schools expanded this program to now also include assisting with tuition and fees reimbursement for Dexter school employees to obtain a Bachelor’s Degree in education.  Dexter Consolidated Schools strongly encourages all employees to continue their professional development learning by completing additional college coursework by obtaining a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.

As consideration for this agreement and the costs outlined above, the employee agrees that he/she will remain an employee in good standing with Dexter Schools for the duration of the current school year in which coursework is completed and a minimum of one (1) subsequent school year.  If during the term of this agreement, the employee resigns, is served with termination papers, or is placed on administrative leave for longer than two weeks for investigation of misconduct or poor performance, the employee agrees that he/she will repay the District the full amount of reimbursement for coursework completed that school year.

Below is additional information for both the Bachelor’s and Master’s degree program.  Applications can be obtained at the links to the right or by contacting the Superintendent’s office.
